Top 3 Books on Pregnancy, Breastfeeding and Motherhood

Posted on August 03 2017

Top three books to guide you in embracing your motherhood journey. It's no secret that motherhood is one of those "titles" that no one can prepare you for. If you are like me, you research and read any piece of information that may help you on your journey. Breastfeeding Awareness Week is on full swing and I wanted to share my top three books on pregnancy, breastfeeding and motherhood. For me, my breastfeeding and motherhood journeys began as soon as I knew I was pregnant. I quickly downloaded a week-by-week app and began consuming as much information as I could. The books below can add valuable information to your motherhood journey or another mom that you may know.

The Mama Natural Week-by-Week Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth by Genevieve Howland

"The Mama Natural’s Week-by-Week Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth is the modern (and yet ancient) approach to pregnancy and childbirth. “Natural” recognizes that pregnancy and birth are normal, and that having a baby is a wondrous biological process and rite of passage—not a medical condition. This book draws upon the latest research showing how beneficial and life-changing natural birth is for both babies and moms.

Full of weekly advice and tips for a healthy pregnancy, Howland details vital nutrition to take, natural remedies for common and troublesome symptoms, as well as the appropriate (and inappropriate) use of interventions." -
